Last week we had our company's quarterly sales meeting, we were then invited to have our dinner at South Sea Seafood Restaurant, 229, Jalan Dua, Kampung Baru Subang.
Apparently South Sea had over 20 years of experience ! Opened back in 1989, 2 years after I was born :) Well, for those who prefer to survey more before you head up there, you may want to google their webiste:- http://www.southsea.com.my/
I can say that they are pretty proud of their website. I find it very interactive, they have 3 different themes to choose from:-
The First theme: Lobster
You can slowly see that one by one those fresh sea creatures were being hooked away and lastly the chef !
The Second theme: Crab
The Third theme: Wild Endangered Fish
They even have an interactive menu..so just go to their website and try it !
Overall, they are trying to claim that they served the freshest seafood in town !
Their tag line is Alive & Kickin'..interesting.
The interior of the restaurant, nicely lit up.
We arrived pretty early at 6pm, hence the place is still empty.
They have a small fish pond in the middle of the restaurant.
The place is almost packed during dinner time !
At the corner of the restaurant, they also have many large aquarium display on all types of sea creatures that you can think of.

WARNING..this dish is quite spicy as they were served with lil chilli padi giving you numbness on your lips..a real sensation !
Drunken Prawns

The prawns were so fresh and the wine was superb ! Finger licking GOOD !
Steamed Fish in Teochew Style

First Bite of this will make you go crazy..and you'll ask for more ! I especially loved the delicious melted cheese toppings..another THUMBS UP !

Indonesian Fried Rice

This was the first time I've ever tried Indonesian Fried Rice. It was interesting as the fried rice was topped with deep fried garlic, shaved coconut & thin slices of crabstick. It makes the entire eating experience..CRUNCHIER !
Salted Egg Yolk Crab

It was generously covered with Salted Egg Yolk...it was so good that you just can't help but lick every inch of it ! Not too salty, simply delicious !
And last but not least, the DESSERT !
Melted Ice Blended Vanilla Ice Cream with Mango Cubes & Sago (I named it myself :P )

Honestly, I'm alil disappointed with this dessert. It should have been tastier with more sweetness in it (Oh, I'm such a sweet tooth !)
A Happy tummy is a Full tummy..we were ALL satisfied with our dinner. You can also see that we whacked all types of drinks..from their fresh coconut juice to their fresh fruit juices (they were really good) to bottomless beer !
Unfortunately since the dinner was on the company, I did not get the final bill (hence no price indicated here) :( But according to some of my colleagues who have been here, it is EX. But if money comes second, food comes first..haha..then this place is highly recommended for the freshness of the seafood and overall simply good food !
Some sights not to be missed in this restaurant..
I would say the interior of this place is pretty luxurious for a seafood restaurant.

(Okay now, how did I managed to get in there? The toilet was being cleaned at that time, and I heard so much about it, I actually get the permission from the cleaner lady to let me in :P )
You may literally pee on the aquarium ! while the fishes are swimming around staring at......YOU ! :P
South Sea, be it for the freshness of the seafood or the cool interior design, definitely
a place to visit !
