Located at one of the street with the most number of dessert and milk tea kiosk, Wu Cha 18 武茶十八 is another relatively new choice of bubble tea kiosk. The origins of "Wu" Kung Fu + "Cha" Tea came from the founders of Wu Cha where they believe crafting a good cup of tea requires top-quality ingredients, the finest brewing skills and incredible strength of faith. The perseverance is like practising Kung Fu. http://www.wucha18.com/

Aiyu Wintermelon Lemonade
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥
rm 5.80

I'm a big fan of any form of jelloish jelly tingie. Hehe. Aiyu is a famous Taiwanese Jelly made from the gel of a variety of Fig seeds, best served with honey and lemon. Unlike usual, this drink here has the classic wintermelon sweetness instead of honey. Love this drink :)

Grass Jelly Milk Tea

Good standard Smooth milk tea but nothing extraordinaire. Unfortunately, they were out of black pearls that time :( However, me chose the next best, which is the Grass Jelly of course.

They have a mini section of fun board games of your choice !

Nothing beats a good old game of wooden blocks.

It wasn't ME ! :p

Pretty standard with mild sweetness.

Signature Dish: Fried Egg with Shark Fin
Rating: Taste ♥♥ Texture: ♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥ Overall ♥♥
rm 13.90 (small)

I'm a big fan of egg ♥ Really, me can't survive without eggs.
The mixture of the egg with ingredients like cabbage, carrots & shark fins makes every bite fun ! However, the overall taste for this meal is below my expectation, it is alil too dull for me; I actually accompanied them with soya sauce topped with chilli padi :p Soya sauce + Chilli Padi = my rescue for tasteless meals and they never fail me.

Signature Dish: Claypot Fa Tiu Chicken
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥♥ Texture: ♥♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥♥
rm 13.90 (small)

Served to us sizzling hot, the aroma of this dish is simply unbelievable !!
I wasn't hungry at the first place until I was served with this; the hunger signal rushed through my brain in less than a second !
Fa Tiu is a type of chinese cooking wine, however in this dish, the Fa Tiu taste is very mild, to my personal liking :) Those tender chicken richly covered with the combination of the Fa Tiu and the dark sauce, served with ginger slices and spring onions . . it's just Lip-Smacking !
With no MSG, how did they do it?

Picture says it all . . it's finger licking good !
I will definately come back for this ♥

They actually uses the cooking rice wine from Hai-O Enterprise ;)
A good tip for those who would like to D.I.Y this meal at home :)

Great Taste Hong Kong Dim Sum Restaurant @ Subang Jaya

Opened 2 years back, the relative new Great Taste Hong Kong Dim Sum Restaurant is a favourite Dim Sum place among the locals at Subang Jaya.

Dim Sum in the making . . .
Steaming hot Dim Sum ready to be served . . .
The best part of having dim sum is every few minutes, you are being served with a tray of sinful choices of dim sum. Really feast for the eyes and tummy !

A must have !
Fried Radish Cake 'Lo Bak Ko'
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥♥
rm 4.50

Unlike usual, the outer layer of the Lo Bak Ko is actually crispy. Fried with their home made XO sauce, every bite of it is just simply delicious and satisfying ! Really, kudos to the chef !
It is indeed the best Lo Bak Ko that I've ever tasted !
Herbal Drink "Lua Han Guo"
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥♥

Served chilled, their home made Lua Han Guo brings the sweetness to your meal. Perfect for a person that have a sweet tooth like me. Best drink to compliment with dim sum :)
Their Signature . . .
Dumplings with King Soya Sauce
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥♥
rm 4.50

The finely minced meat (pork & shrimp) wrapped under the thin dumpling skin gives a perfect texture. It is served with their special home made king soya sauce which is superbly Yumm-O !
Shrimps Dumplings "Ha Gao"

Hidden underneath the thin translucent skin, those fresh juicy prawns are real springy !
Pork Dumplings "Siew Mai"
Rating: Taste ♥♥ Value for money ♥♥ Overall ♥♥
rm 4.00

Siew Mai is a must have in a dim sum meal. However, this one here is just so so.
I prefer the toppings of the fish eggs to be raw, this one here is overcooked, not to my favourite.
Smoked Bacon Rolls
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥
rm 4.50

Me ♥ Bacon ! But this is the first time I've seen it on a dim sum menu. You just can't resist the aroma coming from a smoked bacon, it just makes you go nuts ! However, the minced meat inside is slightly dull in taste, but I'm guessing it is made this way so that when it combines with the strong aromatic bacon, the entire taste is not too overwhelming :)
Shrimps Cheong Fun
(served with special ha mai paste)
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥
rm 3.80

Again, how did they invent such delicious sauce ??!! I was basically slurping each bite of my cheong fun with the sauce ! OMG !

On top of the usual choices like Char Siew/Shrimp Cheong Fun, they even served variety of choices that you can't find elsewhere . .e.g. Scallops Cheong Fun, Vegetarian Cheong Fun, Crispy Rolls Cheong Fun and even Fried Cheong Fun! Thumbs up !
Deep Fried Pork Ribs
(special order, not in menu)

Buns with Custard and salted Egg Yolk
"Lao Sa Bao"
(chef recommended)
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥♥♥
rm 4.50

This dish really deserve its ♥♥♥♥♥. Its the best Lao Sa Bao ever ! They were served to us freshly baked from the oven !
The soft pillowy bun is made to the perfect bite size !
The best part is yet to come . . the custard and the salted egg yolk filling inside ! The filling is just too good that words can't describe . . it's Godsent!

The thick filling literally flows out from the bun when you tear the bun opens !

Another Favourite . . .
Mini Egg Tarts
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥♥
rm 3.50

I'm a big fan of egg tarts, especially love the idea of mini egg tarts as they are just the right bite size. It has crispy layers of crusts and smooth custard in the middle which I love as it has the rich eggy taste !

Mango Rolls with Fragrant Oats
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥
rm 5.00

Deep Fried with Fragrant Oats on the exterior, it has an interesting combination of Mango and Prawns ! It would have been perfect if the Mangoes used were sweet ones.

Great Taste Hong Kong Dim Sum served their buns in cute shapes which childrens will love. They have the popular Lotus Paste Buns shaped as a little rabbit and a Red Bean Paste Bun shaped as a Procupine !

Below are more of their cute buns in the making
