They are no longer available in Malaysia :(

They also serve Corn Pie.

I guess overall Thai loves vege stuff . . they have vege in everything !

My choice . . where my curiousity leads . .

40 Baht / RM 4.00 (per plate)

Look Choop
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥  Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥
Only in Thai, these colorful candies are actually fruit-imitated soybean dumpling coated with jelly. In another words, it is Thai version of Jelly Beans (Jelly + Bean Paste Filling). How creative ! The delicious glossy look with its appetizing bright colors, it's really impossible not to try them. However, don't be deceived by its varieties of color (I thought they represent different fruit flavors) but they all tasted the same. Overall, it is less sweeter than it looks.

Bangkok Bites Part II: Street Food @ Street Stalls In front of Big C Supercenter

Bangkok is famous for its Shopping/Street Malls and also its Street Food. That is why I'm here ! On our way to the Platinum Mall, we passed by the famous Big C Supercenter and there are many Street Stalls located right in front.

Big C Supercenter.

Crispy Twin Pork Sausages
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥♥ Texture ♥♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥
20 Baht / RM 2 per stick

We walked passed this stall and was contemplating whether we should try street food at that time (really didn't want to upset our tummy at the start of the day). But this delicious picture in our head was screaming out loud, and we were like 'What the Heck!' and whacked one of it ! lolz

The caramelized skin gave a nice crisp on each bite, revealing the juicy meat inside. It is a little different than how I would imagine it to be, as it brings a slight sourness punch towards the end.
Hello Thai Sausage ;)

Bangkok Bites Part I: Bacon Wrapped Sausages @ 7-Eleven

Just walk at any street in Bangkok, you will definately bumped into a 7-Eleven Convenience Store. You gotta enter one when you visit Bangkok and check out their wide section on ready to eat food.

We dropped by at 7-Eleven near Terminal 21 Mall. As we have time constraint due to our LONG planned itinerary, it is so convenient to just grab and go some snacks here before the start of our trip. Right next to the cashier counter, there is a wide selection of grilled sausages.

Refreshing Coconut Jelly @ Coconut Grove Dessert Corner, Oasis Bandar Utama

Located at the Oasis BU, especially for Bandar Utama Residents, I'm sure you have seen or at least passed by this place. Coconut Grove serves my favourite dessert ! Coconut Jelly ! Woots! Woots!

The first time I've tried Coconut Jelly was few years back in Penang @ the popular Joez Coconut. I had like 3 of them in a day ! It was that good ! I was surprised with joy to find a dessert corner that specializes in Coconut Jellies and the best part is, it's located right at my neighbourhood here in PJ ! Wee . . !

The place is nicely lit up . . and take note on the lil coconut trees design on their wallpaper. . brings you an overall relaxing coconut-by-the-beach mood :)

They serve a varieties of dessert, from their homemade Tong Sui to Snow Ice to Chocolate Cake and many more.

I like their unique names for their Snow Ice Selection:

Pink Panther (Honey Dew Flavoured Ice)
Garfield (Passion Mango Flavoured Ice)
Chip N' Dale (Peanut Flavoured Ice)
Morning Glory (Milk Flavoured Ice)
Jack & The Beanstalk (Green Tea Flvoured Ice)

But the hero is . . no other than . . .

Coconut Jelly !!

I've read about the magic behind the making of coconut jelly, through the HOT and COLD process. Firstly, part of the husk was removed and it was heated in the oven. They were allowed to be cooled for a period of time, they were then moved to the cooler room. During this period, the magic happens where the semi solid form of the jelly will slowly form. How cool is that ?!

Coconut Jelly with Nata de Coco

The ssslurp of the chilled smooth jelly into your mouth is just pure sensation ! The taste of its natural sweetness is simply heavenly. You have to enjoy it slowly :)

The silky smooth Coconut Jelly ♥

The shredded Nata de Coco toppings adds more delicious texture to it ♥

Other toppings include Cendol, Red Bean, Aloe Vera (my favourite too), Green Tea Jelly & "Q" Jelly

Beware of the difficulties in trying to get the Coconut Flesh out from its shell. It is HARD. LOLs.
Someone caught in action :p

Erm . . I don't quite fancy Coconut Flesh as I do not like the rich coconut milk from its white kernel. I only love the Coconut Water or in this case the Jelly form ♥

Tadaa . . the Coconut Flesh !

His hard work ♥ with LOVE ;)

You just gotta try one now !
