My favourite choice is the Caramel Pudding, one of the best seller !

How pretty . . those colors and varieties . .

You gotta have these sweet desserts to end your scrumptious Ramadhan meal, else it's not complete ;)

Ramadhan Bites @ Pasar Ramadhan, TTDI

Ramadhan Bazaar really spoilt you with all the choices of foods especially the variety of snack to bite ! If you haven't been to any Ramadhan Bazaar before, there's no more waiting . . !!

My favourite bite of all time : Popiah stall
Beware of the long queue as this stall is also a favourite among the locals.

Deep Fried Popiah
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥♥
rm 5.00/set of 5 rolls

The specialty of this bite is really the lip-smacking chilli sauce !!!
The crunch on the crispy skin with the finger licking good sauce . . ahhh . . .
Really, kudos to this chilli sauce inventor ! 5 thumbs up !

Wet Popiah
(Popiah Basah)
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥♥
rm 5.00/set of 5 rolls

This wet version is really good too. It is made of the usual ingredients which consists of freshly sliced steam turnip, bean sprout and crispy fried fragrant shrimp.
I usually will take away a mixture of these together with the deep fried ones ;)

The next stall : Otak-Otak

Otak-Otak
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥
rm 0.60 per piece
Wrapped in Banana Leaf and grilled on slow fire, Otak-Otak is impossibly delicious ! The aroma produced from the combination of the fish meat and its spices & herbs used is just superb !

Satak
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥
rm 5.00 for 3 sticks (1 stick = 3 sataks)
Satak is actually made of minced fish meat, similar to Otak-Otak. However, Satak is much fragrant than the classic Otak-Otak due to its mixture of aromatic ingredients used such as grated coconut, lemongrass and onion

Loving all these traditional bites from the Ramadhan Bazaar.

Wait, there's more to read on foods from the Ramadhan Bazaar ;)

The Fragrance of Ramadhan @ Pasar Ramadhan, TTDI

The next highlight of Ramadhan Bazaar is for the meat lovers !!

One can easily identifies a Ramadhan Bazaar with its colorful tents and of course, the smoke from the delicious BBQ Chicken Wings.

King Chicken Wings
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥
rm 1.50

You can't get this price elsewhere except at Ramadhan Bazaar. . usually chicken wings are sold at RM 2.00-2.50 per piece. Marinated with honey sauce topped with special spices that gives the red color . . these juicy King Chicken Wing is a must-try ! Err..just try to avoid those really burned ones :)

The next stall: Roasted Lamb

Roasted Lamb
rm 10.00 (medium) rm15.00 (large)

The aroma of these roasted lamb simply makes you salivate on the spot !

The next stall: Crispy Chicken Satay

Satay Ayam Rangup
(Crispy Chicken Satay)
Rating: Taste ♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥
rm 1.00

There are 2 varieties available: Original and Hot & Spicy.
I was pretty amazed by the selling price at RM 1 for such a huge bite ! It was made of 80% flour, and the meat portion is just like a normal satay portion, it's very mini ! I don't mind the small portion really, come on, it is only selling at RM 1? But, the taste is a big let down :( The 'crispy' skin is just too hard to bite !

But, overall a thumbs up for his innovative idea :)

The next stall: Ayam Percik

BBQ Ayam Percik
(Kelantan Style)
Rating: Taste ♥♥ Value for money ♥ Overall ♥♥
rm 5.00

This is another stall that can't be missed from any Ramadhan Bazaar. Marinated in their special home made sauce, the ayam percik is being barbecued to almost perfection. It is slightly ex but it is a must have anyway in a Ramadhan meal.

Murtabak Meggi @ Pasar Ramadhan, TTDI

First of all, to all my Muslims friends out there. . happy break-fast ! The best part of fasting month, is of course the Ramadhan Bazaar ! Always looking forward to it every year. Near to my home, there's this popular Ramadhan Bazaar located at the stretch of road opposite Guardian at Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI). It opens at 3pm onwards and usually closes at around 6pm ish during the fasting month.

The highlight of today is Murtabak !!

Murtabak is made of pan-fried pancake somewhat like roti canai's skin and stuffed with variety of ingredients includes minced chicken or mutton, garlic, egg, onion and not to be missed their home made curry sauce.

The First Stall: Raja Murtabak

Murtabak Special
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥ Overall ♥♥
rm 7.00 (special) rm 3.00 (regular)

Murtabak Special has nothing much special really, it's just doubles of all the ingredients and larger in size. It is recommended to try the regular ones will do.

This murtabak is quite common in all the ramadhan bazaar . . but have you tried Murtabak Meggi ? Murtabak with Maggi Noodles? Yes, it's for real !!

The Second Stall: Murtabak Meggi

Check out the Maggi Noodles toppings . .

Murtabak Meggi
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥
rm 4.50

The Maggi noodles really adds the texture to the Murtabak. Thumbs up to this !
Imagine having a maggi goreng in a form of pancake . . Lols

What an interesting twist to the recipe of the traditional Murtabak.
Certainly, a Must-Try !!

Shimino Harajuku Japanese Crepe @ Pavillion KL

Last weekend, dropped by at Pavillion KL to catch my favourite movie of all time . . Spidey :) Just 10 minutes before the movie starts, we decided to grab some bites to munch in the movie :p So, we decided to drop by at Shimino Harajuku Japanese Crepes which is located on the same floor (5th floor) as the Cinema.

The interior design is pretty much based on the Harajuku fashion . . bold !!

Kawaii neh . . !

The wide selection of choices of different types of crepes . . from sweet ones to savoury ones . .

The sweet crepe . . served with a slice of cake inside !

Do check out their NEW gourmet savoury crepes !

They also served hand brewed coffee - shimino syphon coffee
at only rm 6.80

My crepe in process . .

Hmm. .  curious of what I've ordered ?

Tadaa . .

Savoury Crepe: Chicken Strip
Served with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Sliced Egg & Corn and topped with chilli sauce &  mayonnaise
Rating: Taste ♥♥ Value for money ♥♥ Overall ♥♥
rm 9.90

It is a little pricey for a snack like this but for the fun of snacking . . it's priceless ! This savoury crepe has an interesting crunch on the inside with the combination of onions and corn. I was actually expecting the crepe to be crispy . . but the fact is . . the crepe is actually soft and thin and it has a slight sweetness in it . . Well, I think that this crepe will go best with the sweet fillings instead. So during the next visit, I must try the sweet crepes !!

Drive Through Rojak Stall @ Atria Shopping Centre, Damansara Jaya

Another hidden gem exposed. Located near the Atria Shopping Centre, Jalan SS22/23, Damansara Jaya, you may find a rojak stall right opposite the food court. This Rojak Stall is very popular among the local. Despite the fact that the Atria Shopping Centre is currently undergoing a revamp, the rojak is still operating as usual.

Drive through Rojak Stall?

Most customers will drive by with their car and place their order, they will then make a round and return to pick up their order :) Convenient isn't it?

Fruit Rojak
Small @ rm 4.00
Large @ rm 5.00 (recommended) ;)

The making of my fruit rojak . . wee !

Fruit Rojak
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥♥
rm 5.00 (large)

The fruit rojak was served with 2 pieces of crispy crackers. Rojak crackers are always the favourite part of my love for rojak and they were just simply addictive ! Unlike the usual fruit rojak, the crackers were placed at the most bottom and topped with the fruit slices. Do check out the giant size of the fruit slices ! The prawn based sauce was really really rich and thick, further topped with generous portion of crushed peanuts ! This marvellous combination really makes you go nuts !

Arghh . . I'm really craving for it now ;)
